One of the challenges facing team leaders and specialist support personnel is being able to provide direction without necessarily having the formal authority to do so. This type of influence calls for a set of skills and competencies that include the ability to:
- Act as a tutor, mentor, consultant and performance manager to provide coaching and support that balance the requirements of the situation with the employees' confidence and competence
- Provide meaningful, behavioural feedback that supports and motivates others
- Handle conflict situations appropriately and effectively
- Move themselves and others from dependence to interdependence
- Doing all this within the framework of the organizations mission, vision, values and strategies!
Our new Communication & Coaching workshop does this by incorporating the right mix of theory and practical application. We combine straightforward concepts such as Situational Leadership, Feedback, Motivation and Coaching with customized, audience-specific activities and practice sessions that facilitate application in the real world. In other words, we provide solutions that work.
