![]() What stands out when you think about great meetings or workshops you've attended? Participants we’ve talked to say sessions are memorable when:
We facilitated problem solving and planning sessions at a Toronto youth service organization to help them transition to a service model that would better meet their clients’ needs. Working with their executive director, management and staff, we designed and facilitated a series of meetings to help participants understand the impending change, identify and discuss concerns and develop strategies to meet individual, organizational and client needs most effectively. As a result the changes were implemented with minimal disruption. Over the long term, the organization also made important changes in the way they defined the client relationship. Recently we collaborated with senior and executive management of Desjardins General Insurance Group in Mississauga and Quebec City to facilitate two newly acquired firms’ alignment with the parent’s mission, vision and values. I worked with the client to develop a practical model and supporting 2-day workshop to facilitate understanding and application of the mission, vision and values. I co-facilitated this workshop with members of the executive management team, and part of the development process included facilitating a “train-the-trainer” session for them and my French-speaking counterpart. We now offer this highly successful program on a continuing basis. We’ve worked with community and sport groups including the Corktown Residents & Business Association, Argonaut Rowing Club, and Southeast Downtown Economic Redevelopment Initiative to help them define or redefine their goals and values and then use these to identify and prioritize strategies for achieving them… The foundation of our approach is flexibility, sensitivity to your needs and priorities, and belief in a practical, ethical approach to building a solution that works for you; whether or not training is involved. If we can find a simpler, more economical and effective approach, we won’t hesitate to recommend it. For more information about how we can help you, please contact us.
